You're still defending your treatment decisions to people with less experience and justifying your methods to administrators who've never done the work.
About this role
You've spent years building real clinical expertise. You're still defending your treatment decisions to people with less experience and justifying your methods to administrators who've never done the work. That's what this role ends.
Woodland Joint Unified serves a richly bilingual (Spanish-English) student population — if Spanish assessment or dual-language therapy is something you want to develop, Woodland is the placement where that actually happens.
Senior school SLPs run Woodland-area caseloads with the autonomy you've earned and a reduced IEP count (35-40 max) so you can take on mentorship, complex-case consultation, and protocol work inside the 7:45am-3:30pm day. You set your service-delivery grid. Summers are off. Your methods, your documentation templates, your IEP-writing approach.
What this role looks like
- Compensated mentorship time for CF supervision — paid as lead-clinician hours, not added to a full caseload
- Your methods become the protocol: direct influence on clinical standards, assessment batteries, and intake screening
- Peer-level collaboration with other senior SLPs — weekly clinical huddles, quarterly case presentations
- Premium benefits: 20+ PTO, 5% 401(k) match, 80-100% employer-paid medical, $2,500-$3,500 CEU budget
Who thrives here
We designed senior roles around clinicians who've earned the right to leave work at work. Administrative burden is minimized by design. The 30% of your week that isn't direct care is spent on things that matter — mentorship, protocol development, complex cases — not paperwork we could have automated years ago.
Highlights & benefits
- Full clinical autonomy — your methods, your protocols
- Reduced caseload + compensated mentorship time
- 80-100% employer-paid medical; 5% 401(k) match
- Optional equity / partnership pathway
- Woodland JUSD — heavy Spanish-English bilingual caseload

About Speech Therapy Consulting, Inc.
Speech Therapy Consulting, Inc.
Speech Therapy Consulting, Inc. is a California-based speech-language pathology practice that hires the way we wish someone had hired us. Clinicians get real supervision, fair caseloads, and a leadership team that still sees patients.
We run pediatric clinics, school contracts, and home-health caseloads across Northern California — and we staff them with SLPs who stay because the work is good, not because we trapped them in a non-compete.

Frequently asked questions
How long does the application process take?
Most candidates hear back within three business days of applying. After a 20-minute intro call, we schedule a working conversation with the clinical lead — usually wrapped up inside two weeks from first contact to offer.
Will I hear back if my application isn't a fit?
Yes. Every applicant receives a direct reply — a yes, a no, or a 'not right now, here's why.' We read every application ourselves; no ghosting.
Can I apply to multiple roles?
Absolutely. If more than one posting looks like a fit, apply to whichever resonates most — we review candidates holistically and will surface other openings that match your background during the first call.
