By your second decade in this profession, you can feel when something is right in a session before you could articulate why.
About this role
By your second decade in this profession, you can feel when something is right in a session before you could articulate why. That pattern recognition is worth something. Here, it shapes how we practice.
Fairfield — anchored by Fairfield-Suisun Unified and a growing pediatric clinic scene — has been one of our fastest-growing placement regions, with bilingual (Spanish-English) demand particularly strong.
Senior school SLPs run Fairfield-area caseloads with the autonomy you've earned and a reduced IEP count (35-40 max) so you can take on mentorship, complex-case consultation, and protocol work inside the 7:45am-3:30pm day. You set your service-delivery grid. Summers are off. Your methods, your documentation templates, your IEP-writing approach.
What this role looks like
- Flexibility in schedule design — you set session lengths, intake cadence, site allocation within reason
- Full clinical autonomy — your treatment approach, your session structure, your documentation style
- Administrative burden minimized: we handle scheduling, billing, credentialing; you stay clinical
- Reduced caseload (30–35 at schools, 18–22 home-health visits/week) to protect mentorship and complex-case time
Who thrives here
If you can already feel when something is wrong in a session before you could articulate why — that's the pattern recognition we want to protect. Your methods shape protocols here, not the other way around.
Highlights & benefits
- Optional equity / partnership pathway
- Peer-level collaboration, not hierarchy
- Full clinical autonomy — your methods, your protocols
- Reduced caseload + compensated mentorship time
- Growing bilingual caseload across Fairfield-Suisun USD

About Speech Therapy Consulting, Inc.
Speech Therapy Consulting, Inc.
Speech Therapy Consulting, Inc. is a California-based speech-language pathology practice that hires the way we wish someone had hired us. Clinicians get real supervision, fair caseloads, and a leadership team that still sees patients.
We run pediatric clinics, school contracts, and home-health caseloads across Northern California — and we staff them with SLPs who stay because the work is good, not because we trapped them in a non-compete.

Frequently asked questions
How long does the application process take?
Most candidates hear back within three business days of applying. After a 20-minute intro call, we schedule a working conversation with the clinical lead — usually wrapped up inside two weeks from first contact to offer.
Will I hear back if my application isn't a fit?
Yes. Every applicant receives a direct reply — a yes, a no, or a 'not right now, here's why.' We read every application ourselves; no ghosting.
Can I apply to multiple roles?
Absolutely. If more than one posting looks like a fit, apply to whichever resonates most — we review candidates holistically and will surface other openings that match your background during the first call.
