About this role
After 3+ years in this profession, you deserve more than another lateral move. You've already outgrown "staff SLP" at most places — the question is whether the next place you land will actually recognize that.
Fairfield — anchored by Fairfield-Suisun Unified and a growing pediatric clinic scene — has been one of our fastest-growing placement regions, with bilingual (Spanish-English) demand particularly strong.
Your day runs on the school calendar — 7:45am to 3:30pm across your Fairfield-area sites, with prep time, lunch, and a real summer off (not "extended school year mandatory"). Caseloads are capped at 55 IEPs with a dedicated assessment day each week where you're not scheduled for sessions. Service-delivery grid is yours to run; IEP meetings run 2-4 per week in peak season with a coordinated SpEd team that shows up prepped.
What this role looks like
- Average 23% salary bump in year one for hires coming from staffing agencies or district positions
- Caseload caps written into the job description — 40–50 kids 1:1 or max 55 IEPs on school assignments
- Pick a caseload focus at month 2: AAC, feeding, bilingual, fluency, autism — we flex intake toward your interest
- Protected planning time blocked on your calendar (2 hours/week, not "if you have time")
Who thrives here
We want clinicians who still love the work and want to keep loving it. If you're at year 4 and secretly calculating when you can exit the field — we'd rather you come talk to us first. Most of our experienced SLPs say the job felt different here within 90 days.
Highlights & benefits
- Clear advancement tracks (Senior, Lead, Supervisor)
- 68% of mid-career hires promoted within 2 years
- Caseload caps written in — 40-50 clinic or max 55 IEPs
- Pick your specialty focus; we flex intake
- Growing bilingual caseload across Fairfield-Suisun USD

About Speech Therapy Consulting, Inc.
Speech Therapy Consulting, Inc.
Speech Therapy Consulting, Inc. is a California-based speech-language pathology practice that hires the way we wish someone had hired us. Clinicians get real supervision, fair caseloads, and a leadership team that still sees patients.
We run pediatric clinics, school contracts, and home-health caseloads across Northern California — and we staff them with SLPs who stay because the work is good, not because we trapped them in a non-compete.

Frequently asked questions
How long does the application process take?
Most candidates hear back within three business days of applying. After a 20-minute intro call, we schedule a working conversation with the clinical lead — usually wrapped up inside two weeks from first contact to offer.
Will I hear back if my application isn't a fit?
Yes. Every applicant receives a direct reply — a yes, a no, or a 'not right now, here's why.' We read every application ourselves; no ghosting.
Can I apply to multiple roles?
Absolutely. If more than one posting looks like a fit, apply to whichever resonates most — we review candidates holistically and will surface other openings that match your background during the first call.
