About this role
The SLPs who come to us from staffing agencies and district positions typically take a 23% salary bump in year one and land on a clear advancement track by year two. That's not a pitch — that's what actually happens to the 47 mid-career hires we've brought on the past three years.
Dixon is home to STC's headquarters and clinic at 255 N. Lincoln Street, which means you're working alongside the leadership team — not reporting into a regional rep three time zones away.
Days run out of our Dixon-area clinic — 1:1 pediatric sessions, 8am-4:30pm with a real 45-minute lunch and no Saturday hours. Caseload is 40-50 kids. You pick a focus at month 2 (AAC, feeding, bilingual, fluency, autism) and we flex intake toward it. 72% productivity target; 2 hours of protected planning time blocked on your calendar each week.
What this role looks like
- $2,500/year CEU budget; ASHA dues + CA license renewal paid; specialty-cert stipends on top
- Compensated mentorship time when you start supervising CFs — paid, not piled on top of your caseload
- Direct input on clinical protocols and material purchases — you shape the practice, not just execute it
- 68% of our mid-career hires promoted within 2 years; tracked, not aspirational
Who thrives here
We want clinicians who still love the work and want to keep loving it. If you're at year 4 and secretly calculating when you can exit the field — we'd rather you come talk to us first. Most of our experienced SLPs say the job felt different here within 90 days.

About Speech Therapy Consulting, Inc.
Speech Therapy Consulting, Inc.
Speech Therapy Consulting, Inc. is a California-based speech-language pathology practice that hires the way we wish someone had hired us. Clinicians get real supervision, fair caseloads, and a leadership team that still sees patients.
We run pediatric clinics, school contracts, and home-health caseloads across Northern California — and we staff them with SLPs who stay because the work is good, not because we trapped them in a non-compete.

Frequently asked questions
How long does the application process take?
Most candidates hear back within three business days of applying. After a 20-minute intro call, we schedule a working conversation with the clinical lead — usually wrapped up inside two weeks from first contact to offer.
Will I hear back if my application isn't a fit?
Yes. Every applicant receives a direct reply — a yes, a no, or a 'not right now, here's why.' We read every application ourselves; no ghosting.
Can I apply to multiple roles?
Absolutely. If more than one posting looks like a fit, apply to whichever resonates most — we review candidates holistically and will surface other openings that match your background during the first call.
