This Is a Peer-Level Position

This is not a standard job listing. We are looking for a senior clinician who wants to help shape a practice, not just work in one.

Clinical Autonomy

Full decision-making authority over your clinical approach. Select your assessment tools, design treatment protocols, and manage your caseload on your terms. We trust your clinical judgment because you have earned it.

Mentorship Role

Supervise Clinical Fellows and guide the professional development of less experienced clinicians. Your experience becomes the foundation for how we train the next generation of SLPs in our practice.

Practice Influence

Participate in clinical quality decisions, district relationship management, and strategic planning. This is not advisory—you will have genuine input into how the practice operates and grows.

Custom Arrangement

Compensation, schedule, and role scope are negotiable. Whether you want a reduced caseload with leadership responsibilities, a specialization focus, or a hybrid arrangement, we will structure the position around your priorities.

Senior-Level Compensation

Base compensation for senior positions, with flexibility for custom arrangements.

Base Range

$110,000 – $118,000+

$75–$80+/hr, 8 hours/day, 185-day school year. Clinic-based and hybrid schedules also available.

Full Benefits

Comprehensive Package

Medical, dental, vision. 401K with match. ASHA dues paid. CEU support. 40 hours PTO plus school breaks.

Compensation is a starting point for conversation, not a ceiling. For clinicians with 15+ years of experience, specialized certifications, or leadership credentials, we are open to discussing arrangements that reflect your full professional value.

Mentorship and Clinical Leadership

At this stage of your career, you have clinical instincts that took years to develop. We want those instincts to shape how our practice operates. This role is designed for a clinician who wants to do more than excellent therapy—you want to raise the standard of care across a team.

  • Supervise Clinical Fellows through their entire fellowship, shaping their clinical development and professional identity
  • Contribute to clinical protocol decisions—assessment approaches, treatment frameworks, and quality standards
  • Participate in hiring discussions for new clinicians, helping ensure cultural and clinical fit
  • Represent the practice in district relationships and IEP proceedings that benefit from senior clinical authority
  • Choose your clinical focus—maintain a full caseload, or reduce direct hours to take on leadership responsibilities

This is not a management title attached to a full caseload. If you want leadership involvement, we reduce your direct clinical hours accordingly. Your time is allocated to where it creates the most value.

A Conversation Between Colleagues

Speech Therapy Consulting was founded by Stacey, a practicing SLP with over 20 years of experience. This is her practice—not a corporate entity, not a staffing company, not a franchise. Every clinical decision flows through someone who has done the work you do.

"I am not looking to fill a position. I am looking for a colleague—someone whose clinical experience I respect and whose perspective will make our practice better. If that resonates, I would like to talk."

We serve families across Sacramento, Solano, and Yolo Counties through school-based placements in Dixon, Vacaville, Fairfield, Davis, West Sacramento, Woodland, and Winters, and through our year-round clinic at 255 N. Lincoln St. Suite A in Dixon. The practice has grown because clinicians stay, and families notice.

The Families We Serve

The families we serve speak for the clinicians who serve them.

"Our son was diagnosed with Autism at the age of 4. The first services we received was speech therapy as he was unable to express himself. We were lucky enough to have been paired with Stacey. Our son has been in speech therapy for almost a year now and has improved so much. He is always excited to go see Mrs. Stacey. We are forever grateful."
— Lopez Family, Dixon, CA
"STC helped me ease my daughter into attending sessions independently instead of needing me to accompany her to every session, which has given her more confidence. My daughter looks forward to her therapy every week. We've experienced other speech therapy service providers and STC is by far our favorite. It feels like a second home."
— Ann & Rose, Vacaville, CA

Frequently Asked Questions

The balance between clinical and leadership is flexible and determined through conversation. Some senior clinicians prefer a full clinical caseload with advisory involvement; others want a reduced caseload with more operational responsibility. We structure the role around your preferences and the practice's needs.
The published range of $110,000 to $118,000+ reflects standard school-year positions. For clinicians with exceptional experience, specialized certifications, or interest in hybrid clinical-leadership roles, we are open to structuring compensation packages that go beyond the standard range. This includes discussing hourly rate, schedule flexibility, and supplemental compensation for leadership duties.
Yes. We can place you in school-based positions across Sacramento, Solano, and Yolo Counties, in our Dixon clinic for year-round outpatient work, or in a hybrid arrangement. At the senior level, we have more flexibility to customize your setting and schedule than with other positions.
Fundamentally different. You are a W-2 employee of Speech Therapy Consulting Inc., with full benefits, a voice in practice decisions, and a direct relationship with the owner. Staffing agencies place you as a commodity; we are offering you a seat at the table in a practice led by a clinician who has been doing this work for over two decades.
This is a peer-to-peer conversation with Stacey, not a screening interview. You will discuss your clinical background, your career interests, what you are looking for in a practice, and what matters to you. Stacey will share the practice's current situation, growth plans, and where a senior clinician fits. If it is a mutual fit, we move to discussing specific terms. If not, you will have had an honest conversation with a colleague who understands your field.
