Pediatric Speech-Language Evaluation · Dixon, CA
Comprehensive speech-language evaluations independent of your school district. Your right under IDEA.
No obligation. We respond within one business day.
Federal law protects your right to an independent evaluation when you disagree with the school district's findings.
Under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), parents have the right to obtain an Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE) if they disagree with an evaluation conducted by the school district. The district must either fund the independent evaluation or file for a due process hearing to demonstrate that its own evaluation was appropriate.
You are entitled to one IEE at public expense each time the district conducts an evaluation with which you disagree. The IEE must be considered by the school district in any decision regarding your child's educational services.

"Our son was diagnosed with Autism at the age of 4. The first services we received was speech therapy as he was unable to express himself. We were lucky enough to have been paired with Stacey. Our son has been in speech therapy for almost a year now and has improved so much. He is always excited to go see Mrs. Stacey. We are forever grateful."
"STC helped me ease my daughter into attending sessions independently instead of needing me to accompany her to every session, which has given her more confidence. My daughter looks forward to her therapy every week. We've experienced other speech therapy service providers and STC is by far our favorite. It feels like a second home."— Ann & Rose, Vacaville, CA
An IEE is a comprehensive speech-language evaluation conducted by a qualified professional who is not employed by your child's school district. Under IDEA (34 C.F.R. 300.502), parents have the right to request an IEE at public expense if they disagree with the school district's evaluation.
You may request an IEE if you disagree with the school district's evaluation findings, believe the evaluation was incomplete or did not accurately represent your child's abilities, or want a second opinion from an independent professional.
Under IDEA, parents are entitled to one IEE at public expense each time the school district conducts an evaluation with which the parent disagrees. The district must either fund the IEE or file for a due process hearing to demonstrate that their evaluation was appropriate.
Our IEE includes comprehensive assessment of receptive language, expressive language, articulation and phonology, fluency, pragmatic/social language, and oral-motor function. A detailed report with specific recommendations is provided for use in IEP meetings.
